Dr. Kinback received his medical degree in 1992 from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He trained in psychiatry at Loma Linda Medical Center from 1992 through 1996, and has been certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology since 1998. Dr. Kinback has worked in many settings, including private hospitals, VA hospitals, Patton State Mental Hospital, various private offices in Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, as well as numerous nursing home, and board & care facilities. He was employed by the Loma Linda Psychiatric Medical Group from 1996-1999, as a full time faculty member of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, with the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.
Dr. Kinback started solo private practice in 1999, with offices originally in Loma Linda, Garden Grove (at the Crystal Cathedral), and Mission Viejo. Today, his practice is limited exclusively to the Mission Viejo location, but many loyal patients still drive from outlying areas for quality medication management. Dr. Kinback continues to teach on a volunteer basis, at Loma Linda University as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He also lectures in California and various states to educate other doctors in areas of psychiatric medication management. He has published various books or book chapters, as well as several academic papers, and currently spends the majority of time seeing patients at his recently remodeled office in Mission Viejo.
