Summary:

Deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) represents an innovative non-invasive neuromodulation method built upon repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation technology. The novel H-coil brings notable benefits to the treatment and mechanistic exploration of psychiatric and neurological disorders, attributed to its ability to stimulate deep brain regions and cover a broad area. This article provides an overview of the clinical advancements of dTMS in various psychiatric and neurological conditions, encompassing Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, post-stroke motor dysfunction, aphasia, and other neurological disorders, along with its application in addressing anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia.
