Chief Technology Officer
Gilead serves as CTO of BrainsWay, overseeing specific areas and projects within our R&D technology department to build, deliver, and process our technology with major focus put on strategic technological directions.
Gilead brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the Medical device industry. Prior to BrainsWay, Gilead spent 5 years at Magenta Medical as Chief Operating Officer, developing a percutaneously implanted, expandable, coronary pump. Before Magenta, Gilead spent 16 years at Medinol, where he helped develop and bring to market an array of both coronary and peripheral systems.
Gilead was born in Beer-Sheva, grew up in Haifa (with a couple of intermittent years spent in the US), and for the last 25 years has been living in Givatayim with his wife and two children. He is a Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in computational mechanics from the Technion.
